Prime Location
Situated in the exclusive Olare Motorogi Conservancy, adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve, offering exceptional wildlife viewing with fewer vehicles and a more intimate safari experience.
We conduct continuous wildlife monitoring around our waterhole using a network of strategically installed, high-resolution cameras. This system allows Bwana RenMan Safari Camp LTD to document real-time animal activity and behavior while maintaining a completely natural and undisturbed environment. Our goal is to provide guests and researchers with valuable insights into the daily movements of wildlife within the Masai Mara ecosystem.
The footage captured around the waterhole showcases a remarkable variety of species - elephants, antelopes, buffalo, predators, and numerous smaller mammals that frequent this essential water source. These recordings not only enhance our understanding of local wildlife patterns but also offer visitors a unique opportunity to witness authentic, close-up encounters that are often missed during traditional game drives.
One particularly unforgettable moment featured a curious elephant gently removing one of our cameras, resulting in an extraordinary, intimate perspective of this magnificent animal. This and other remarkable clips are available below, providing a rare, unfiltered look into the wildlife interactions that take place just steps from our camp. By combining responsible conservation practices with modern monitoring technology, we aim to deepen appreciation for the Masai Mara’s biodiversity and share meaningful, real-life wildlife experiences with our guests.

Each season in the Mara offers unique wildlife experiences. Here's your guide to planning the perfect safari.
Thousands of wildebeest and zebra calves are born, attracting intense predator activity. Exceptional lion, cheetah, and leopard sightings as they hunt vulnerable young. Resident wildlife abundant with hot, dry weather and short grass for easy viewing.
Long rains transform the landscape into lush greenery. Migratory birds arrive in spectacular plumage. Fewer tourists mean exclusive sightings while resident wildlife remains abundant. Dramatic afternoon storms create stunning photographic conditions.
First wildebeest herds begin arriving from the south. Resident wildlife thriving as weather dries out, creating excellent game viewing. The perfect transition period with anticipation building for the great spectacle ahead.
Over 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebras, and 200,000 gazelles flood the Mara. Witness dramatic river crossings at the Mara and Talek rivers, one of nature's most spectacular events. Predators capitalize on concentrated prey. Peak safari season.
Migration herds depart south as short rains bring renewed green growth. Resident wildlife reclaims territory with excellent predator sightings and plains game. Fewer crowds create intimate safari experiences with festive atmosphere at camp.
Year-round excellence. January-March peak for cubs and hunting behavior.
July-October for dramatic river crossings and massive herds.
June-October for dry season light, or April-May for dramatic skies.
November-April when European migrants arrive in breeding plumage.
April-June & November for green season rates and fewer crowds.
June-October or December-January during school holidays with good weather.
At Mara Camp, conservation isn't just a practice, it's our purpose. Every guest contributes to protecting this irreplaceable wilderness and supporting the communities who have called it home for generations.
We believe luxury and sustainability go hand in hand. Through the conservancy model, innovative eco-practices, and direct community partnerships, we're proving that protecting wildlife while empowering local people creates lasting change.
The Olare Motorogi Conservancy represents a groundbreaking approach to conservation. Local Maasai landowners lease their land to create protected wildlife areas, receiving guaranteed income while maintaining cultural practices.
This model protects critical wildlife corridors, limits tourist vehicles (maximum 5 per sighting vs. 20+ in the reserve), provides consistent income to landowners, and enables traditional grazing while protecting wildlife.

Our entire camp runs on solar energy, eliminating fossil fuel dependency and reducing our carbon footprint to near zero. From lighting to hot water, every comfort is sustainably powered.
Rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling for landscaping, and low-flow fixtures reduce water consumption by 60%. Every drop is precious in the African ecosystem.
Comprehensive recycling program, composting organic waste, and complete elimination of single-use plastics throughout camp. What can't be recycled is properly disposed of off-site.
Biodegradable soaps, shampoos, and cleaning products protect local water sources and soil. Our suppliers are carefully vetted for environmental practices.
Fresh vegetables from nearby farms, reducing transportation emissions by 70% while supporting the local economy. Our menu celebrates regional flavors and seasonal produce.
We fund daily anti-poaching ranger patrols equipped with modern radios, GPS, and vehicles. These dedicated teams conduct sweeps for snares and monitor for poaching activity across 33,000 acres.
Our participation in conservancy-wide wildlife censuses and predator tracking programs provides crucial data for management decisions. We host researchers studying everything from lion behavior to soil health, providing logistical support for vital conservation science.
Empowering local communities through education, healthcare, and economic opportunity
We sponsor scholarships for 15 local children annually and provide school supplies to three neighboring schools. Environmental education programs teach the next generation about conservation.
Contributions to mobile medical clinics bring healthcare to remote Maasai communities otherwise lacking access. Regular check-ups, vaccinations, and maternal health services.
We partner with Maasai women's beading cooperatives, providing market access and fair prices for their beautiful handcrafted jewelry. Empowering women strengthens entire communities.
Maji Safi Water Initiative brings clean water access to three villages through borehole maintenance and distribution, transforming health outcomes for 500+ families.
80% of our staff are from neighboring communities, providing training, fair wages, and career development in hospitality and conservation fields.
